My client is a non profit organisation and are looking for a Accounts Manager to run their busy financial services team. 

To manage the provision and development of an efficient, effective, pro-active, client orientated SDS Financial Services function.

To produce various financial statements for inclusion with the Management Accounts and to assist in their distribution as requested by Head of Finance

To ensure that Payroll is managed effectively and that relevant reports and analysis are produced for budget holders and Senior Management Team as required.

To provide leadership and direction to the financial services team, including developing and maintaining financial systems.

Management and Supervision of Payroll and SDS Financial Services Department including regular supervision/appraisal and team meetings.

To carry out payroll year-end procedures as required and to produce and send all returns required by the Inland Revenue and Benefits Agency including P11D, P35 & PSA returns and ensure compliance with RTI requirements.

To assist in maintaining the computerised payroll system, reviewing software upgrades, dealing with Snowdrop KCS and SAGE and ensuring that the system is effective.

To ensure that calculations for payments to the Inland Revenue, Pensions Agencies and other 3rd parties are accurate and prompt.

To produce and circulate accurate monthly salary reports and provide detailed analysis on salary expenditure in response to manager’s requests.

To produce quarterly monitoring reports for commission authorities in relation to balances account and support quarterly monitoring meetings.

To prepare detailed establishment costs for organisational budgets and support the development of the annual Budget.

To liaise with Managers and the Finance Department to investigate variances and exceptional circumstances, which might affect salaries budgets.

To ensure that for all customers we have authority (if required) to act on their behalf in relation to HMRC matters and that this is recorded accordingly and 64-8 completed and that we ensure that all customers are complaint with and maximising any allowances as per HMRC legislation.

To work closely with Local Authority and NHS Colleagues to ensure delivery of a high quality service and to resolve any issues.

The right person will have a strong understand of payroll and have excellent people management skills.
