Our Client is a leading educational provider based in Lowestoft and due to expansion they require an experienced Business Development Manager to support the Commercial side of the Business. This will initially be on a short term contract for 4 - 6 months.
Purpose of Role:
To meet employer and individual demand for commercial and full-cost courses in partnership with Assistant Principals. Manage associated budgets and meet College income targets. Manage and develop employer led training and projects to grow and future-proof the college’s business and key income streams.
1. Main Duties:
1.1 Develop responsive and mutually beneficial relationships with industry and employers.
1.2 Identify opportunities for curriculum development, apprenticeships and full-cost delivery through project funding, partnership working and commercial activity.
1.3 Establish viability and contribution of commercial and full cost work before implementation.
1.4 Communicate new courses internally working with marketing to promote courses externally to achieve recruitment targets.
1.5 Develop the business case and, where agreed, submit tenders for projects.
1.6 Develop business proposals, designing, costing and managing contracts awarded.
1.7 Agree the delivery of full cost, commercial and AEB programmes in conjunction with curriculum teams.
1.8 Represent the college at a strategic level with key stakeholder groups, both locally and regionally e.g. EEEGR, NALEP, Chamber of Commerce etc.
