I am recruiting for a Finance Administrator for a charity in Dorking. This is a full-time position paying £19,000-21,000. In this role you will support the administration team, including administering the invoicing/accounts system and responding to enquiries from both staff and customers.

Although primarily office based, this is essentially a pro-active role which will require moderate physical effort, i.e. moving office files and intensive periods of time spent working on computer systems.


In this role you will:
- Effectively manage internal financial systems, including purchase and expenses, petty cash, monthly and quarterly returns, sales and processing cheque and cash receipts. You will then submit details to the Head Office within the agreed timescales.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the organisation's work in order
to respond knowledgeably to enquiries from the public or members of staff
- Handle telephone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
- Be a first point of contact for customers and provide general administrative support
- Ensure sales invoices are issued on a timely basis
- Assist with staff recruitment and administration and day-to-day HR processes
- Ensure the highest standards of quality are achieved in all duties carried out
- Carry out other duties as reasonably requested



The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience of working in a finance/administrative role
- Have demonstrated experience of using databases and financial systems
- Be able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and professionality
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Have good IT and administrative skills
- Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths
