This Secondary Academy in Birmingham are looking to appoint an Art Teacher or an existing second in department or teacher in charge to a permanent position as their Head of Creative Art for a September start. The position is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will see the successful applicant teaching and leading within the Art & Design department, responsible for the department as a whole.

Based close to the city centre just to the East of the ring road this large secondary academy have a diverse and disparate pupil population with a large number of pupils coming from ethnic minority groups. This has helped to create a vibrant school demographic where no 2 days are the same. You will hold responsibility for the Art department, the curriculum and quality of teaching amongst other duties as well as leading by example in your own teaching within the school. You will report in to the Deputy Head with responsibility for Creative Arts and play a key role in the future of the department as part of the management team.
