Fantastic temporary opportunity for an HR Advisor in Epsom. This organisation are recruiting permanently and in the meantime require an experienced HR professional to take on the role starting as soon as possible until approximately March.

The position is in Epsom, a 5 minute walk from the train station. 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday, paying between £18.50-£23/hour. You will report to the Senior HR Advisor.

In this role you will:
- Respond to front-line HR queries
- Provide a high quality general HR service of 320 staff, with an emphasis on employee relations
- Carry out all contractual changes for existing staff and all leaver processes, including the production of appropriate documentation
- Manage all organisational change, redundancy, retirement and absence cases
- To assess viability of recruitment, role profile and person specification quality and give guidance on appropriate recruitment channels
- Work closely with the Payroll Co-ordinator and the outsourced payroll provider to ensure a timely and accurate payroll service to employees
- Provide general employment law and HR advice and support to the organisation in relation to contractual changes, disciplinary, redundancy, family friendly and general employment issues, giving direction where appropriate
- Assist in ensuring that HR policies are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated to managers and staff in line with legislation
- Manage the Learning and Development functionality for staff

The ideal candidate must:
- Be CIPD qualified
- Have recent experience of working in a busy HR office in a generalist role
- Have proven experience of providing employment law advice to staff and managers
- Have experience of reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Possess strong IT skills, including experience of using computerised payroll systems
- Be a team player and have the ability to work unsupervised
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be able to work under pressure and prioritise their workload to meet tight deadlines
