Lead Practitioner Maths, KS3 – KS5, Chelmsford, October 2017

Reed Education Essex are currently working with a great school on an exciting new role in the Chelmsford area.

Starting from October 2017, the school are looking for an outstanding Lead practitioner for Maths to join them on a permanent basis.

• The department’s GCSE results have consistently been above national average and the department has a strong commitment to raising standards further. Both Maths and Further Maths are taught at A Level. Each member of the mathematics department has their own teaching base in a suite of rooms situated in the picturesque Old School quadrangle. The department has a strong team ethos and the successful candidate will be assured exceptional support from the Head of Faculty and other colleagues.

The Role:
• You will be teaching Maths to KS3-KS5
• You will be responsible for the teaching and learning of Mathematics to your allocated timetable and students.
• The department has eight classrooms, seven of which are located adjacent to each other in the quadrangle of the Old School building. It has access to a bookable suite of 30 computers which is shared with Modern Foreign Languages. Staff also have the use of a small staffroom which is located nearby. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard and is wireless networked. Every member of staff is provided with his/her own laptop.

What you will need:
• You will be qualified with a PGCE or preferably QTS.
• You will be experienced teaching within a secondary school.
• You will be a creative leader who is ready to take on a new role.
