Working in a small payroll team and reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll be processing a monthly payroll from start to finish - dealing a wide variety of pay queries, liaising directly with staff, HMRC, etc.

Previous experience is essential as you’ll be involved in all aspects of payroll - processing new starters, leavers, changes, pensions, SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, salary sacrifice items, allowances, deductions, year-end procedures, P60s, P11Ds, etc. And a good understanding of PAYE legislation is essential; you’ll need to know how manually calculate payments when required. You’ll also get exposure to pensions and administration relating to other benefits.

In addition to the required payroll experience, you’ll need to be well-organised and have excellent time management skills and communication skills.
