Project Management Officer
Full-Time- 12 Month Contract
£26,000 per annum 


One of Reed’s clients based in Edinburgh is currently looking to recruit a Project Management Officer to manage the successful delivery of the annual process for the 2018-21 Regular Funding network, including the development and implementation of the Artistic Review Framework. 

What is expected of you: 

• Review and enhance annual review meeting (ARM) process
• Investigate, in collaboration with staff, a team based approach to working with RFOs throughout 2018-21
• Use of External and Internal Working Together Handbook
• Work with the Legal team to support Lead Officers in the annual contracting process
• Work with the Knowledge and Research team to help co-ordinate the annual planning and reporting cycle
• Undertake other duties to ensure the successful delivery of the 2018-21 network business processes
• Implement regular staff training sessions to ensure consistent assessments, scorings and chairing principles applied across the organisation
• Develop full training programme for new and existing staff
• Budget allocation analysis using data available to ensure appropriate panel budgets 
• Implement internal feedback mechanisms and reporting structures to ensure decision making knowledge is available across the organisation
• Implement process and delegated responsibilities for operational changes
• Collaborate with Research and Communications to develop and implement the funding dashboard for external and internal use. Staff briefing / training on how this can be used to support the decision-making process
• Revise the guidelines, design the form and liaise with Comms/IT on technical requirements for online application
• Contract pool of Peer Reviewers through open recruitment process
• Implement training sessions / share case study reviews and best practice
• Develop and implement a tracking system for all reviewers
• Maintain communication with RFOs, advising on reviewers, set review dates and ticket requests
• Maintain communication with reviewers ensuring forms submitted on time

Ideal candidate: 

• Relevant undergraduate degree or relevant professional experience 
• Excellent project management skills 
• History of seeing projects through to completion
• Can work to tight deadlines both internally and externally
• Good communication skills in terms of keeping everyone informed of the project status, ie what stage the project is at, what’s completed, what still needs to be completed
• Able to use their own initiative and make decisions when appropriate
• Collaborative working with internals and externals in terms of taking onboard peoples thoughts, ideas and recommendations and building these into the process 
• Highly organised
• Excellent reporting skills and experience in writing guidelines
