Purpose
To assist the Project Manager in a Trunk Main diversion scheme focusing on the key responsibilities captured below. As a Site Agent you will be accountable for the delivery of the scheme against time, cost and quality targets while ensuring high levels of client and customer satisfaction using safety, quality and management systems.
Work Delivered
The work is a mains water mains diversion of over a 1.5km, with associated haul roads, security and liaison with stakeholders. Success will be delivery of the work on time and any change captured using NEC principals thus ensuring the required margin is maintained, or improved.
Key Result Areas/Responsibilities
To implement and comply with Group's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practice within the Business Unit and areas. In particular, Kier Group's policies, procedures and best practices relating to the implementation of the project(s) and the management of the site(s)
To achieve the planned the commercially required outputs on a scheme
To manage the projects’ finances (revenue, costs, and cash flow)
Ensure that daily diaries are kept of progress and blockers.
Complete inductions with the Project Manager of all parties working on site
Ensure that site inductions are completed by visitors to site
Be confident to challenge behaviours on site that are not in keeping with the correct way and proactively give feedback in a constructive manner
Work with the PM to ensure the project has the required capacity, capability and competency of staff
Advise the PM on operational communications and relationships with customers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and assist the Project Manager in working with government agencies for the projects
To establish and maintain the best relationship with the client, through and beyond construction, to satisfactory completion, and to deliver improved value to the client and company.
To assess, control and mitigate risks and to implement Group's risk policy. In particular Group's policies, procedures and best practices relating to the implementation of the project(s) and the management of the site(s)
To advise and plan operational requirements for internal and external resources with the Project Manager. In particular to select subcontractors and ensure that subcontractors appointed to work on site are competent both in technical and safety matters
To implement the project plan and ensure compliance with the project's accepted contractual terms and conditions

Skills and Experience
Qualifications – Civil Engineering Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent.
Min 5 years industry experience.
SMSTS card
Streetworks Supervisor
CSCS card.
APMP or equivalent
