Reed are currently seeking a Strategic Manager for a Youth Provision role based in North West London. 

Duties of the role will include:

Make a positive contribution to the delivery of the provision, this will include working flexibly and positively to achieve the objectives of the council.
Manage and lead staff to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery, including developing and improving staff capability.
Manage a customer focused service and the effective use of resources.
Ensure that the council’s overall vision, values and ethos are central to the requirements of the service.
Support effective working relationships and act as an ambassador and advocate with external organisations.
Keep up to date with developments in service delivery and best practice to ensure the service performs effectively and to the highest standards.
To be the strategic lead for the Council’s provision of youth and Connexions services for young people to ensure improved outcomes.
To undertake strategic planning and lead on the full commissioning cycle of services as required for youth provision ensuring that contracted projects and services meet the council’s strategic priorities and that the service is targeted to the most vulnerable children and young people and those at risk of NEET or poor outcomes.
To work with a range of youth providers to develop a sustainable market of provision across the Borough.
Implement all areas of the commissioning cycle in relation to strategic commissioning activity.
Prepare detailed service reports/ options appraisals and business cases and analyses for a range of purposes in relation to delivering the Strategic Commissioning cycle.
To undertake full contract management functions.
To monitor, analyse data and report on the Key Performance indicators, particularly NEET, for the service to drive up standards and performance and ensure statutory duties are met.
To prepare reports for the Council’s Management Team (CMT) and the Council’s scrutiny and cabinet committees as required and liaise with elected members as necessary.
To develop strong partnerships with agencies and the voluntary and community sector organisations to contribute to the wider strategic youth provision planning across the Borough.
Ensure that wherever possible young people are involved in the design and delivery of the service.
To manage and monitor the budgets totalling approximately £1.4 million.
To develop and implement the service plan within the overall framework of the Inclusion service and directorate’s service plan and monitor the progress and outcomes.
To manage the property related to the service including the Roundwood Youth Centre.
