In this role, you will act as the designated competent person under Maltese legislation, ensuring full compliance with national health and safety requirements. Your role will involve conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and maintaining up‑to‑date safety documentation. You will develop and enforce workplace policies, oversee emergency procedures, and promote a strong safety culture across all sites.
The position requires delivering engaging training programmes and consulting closely with employees and their representatives. You will investigate incidents, prepare official reports, and coordinate with regulatory bodies as required by law. Regular workplace inspections, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives will form a core part of your duties.
Candidates must hold a recognised qualification at MQF Level 5 or higher and be registered as a competent person with the relevant authority. Strong communication skills in Maltese and English, a solid understanding of local legislation, and a valid driving licence are essential.
